Today I will share a healthy breakfast recipe. Which name is KABULI CHANA ( Chickpeas ) MALAIKARI & MASALA ROTI . It is simple and easy recipe. Here I prepare KABULI CHANA in different way. This recipe is very tasty. KABULI CHANA ( Chickpeas ) is good for our health. It is full of fiber, protein and good source of iron, phosphorus, folic acid. A cup of Chickpeas provides almost one third daily protein needs of an adults. It has many health benefits like good source portion for diabetic patients, it improve bone health, good food for Anemiatic people, it can manage your body weight & also good for heart health etc. I use simple ingredients for making Kabuli Chana ( Chickpeas ) & Masala roti. All Ingredients are available at your local market in india. Here , I will describe with you step by step the recipes. Let's started.
HOW TO MAKE KABULI CHANA MALAIKARI & MASALA ROTI
INGREDIENTS
FOR KABULI CHANA MALAIKARI
Kabuli chana (Chickpeas ) - 11/2 Cup ( Soaked whole night )
Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Bayleaf - 1 no.
Whole dried red chilli - 1 no.
Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds paste - 1 teaspoon
Coriander seeds paste - 1 teaspoon
Cashew nuts paste - 4 tablespoon
Red chilli powder - 1 teaspoon
Milk - 1 Cup
Green chilli - 1 no. ( Chopped )
Garam masala powder - 1 teaspoon
Ghee - 1 tablespoon
Kasuri methi - 1 teaspoon
Fresh cream - Optional
Sugar - 1/2 teaspoon
Salt according to your taste
FOR MASALA ROTI
Gram flour ( Besan ) - 1 Cup
All purpose flour ( Maida ) / Wheat flour - 1 Cup
Coriander leaves - 3 teaspoon ( chopped )
Dry mango powder - 1 teaspoon
Cumin seeds ( roasted ) - 1/2 teaspoon
Dry red chilli powder ( roasted ) - 1/2 teaspoon
Curd - 2 teaspoon
Salt according to taste
Lukewarm water
Oil for fry.
PROCESS
FOR MAKING KABULI CHANA MALAIKARI
At first We will cook the Kabuli Chana (Chickpeas ). Wash the KABULI CHANA and soak for overnight in a bowl of water. Next morning drain Kabuli chana using a strainer.
Take a pressure cooker, transfer the Kabuli Chana (Chickpeas ), add water, salt. Cook it for 5-6 whistle in medium flame. Keep it aside.
Take a karai pour ghee, heat it. Add cumin seeds, whole dried red chilli, bayleaf. Fry for 1 minute.
Now add boiled Kabuli chana ( Chickpeas ), ginger paste, cumin seeds paste and coriander seeds paste. Saute well in medium flame.
When raw smell is goes away add cashew nuts paste, red chilli powder, chopped green chilli. Saute well.
Then add milk, sugar, salt. No need add water. Mix them. Cover it and cook for 3-5 minutes.
Add garam masala powder and kasuri methi. Mix well. When gravy is thick add fresh cream as required. It is optional you can skip it.
Ready your KABULI CHANA ( Chickpeas ) MALAIKARI. Serve it.
FOR MAKING MASALA ROTI
Take a plate or large bowl, add all ingredients one by one. Mix them properly, pour lukewarm water. Make a soft dough ( like paratha dough ) .
Take a board, sprinkle some flour on board. Take a medium portion from the dough and makes the ball shape.
Start rolling it with the rolling pin. Rolling it like a chapati.
Next roast the Masala roti into the hot pan on medium flame. Fry it both side until golden colour.
Same process with the remaining dough. Ready your Masala roti.
Serve hot with Kabuli Chana ( Chickpeas ) MALAIKARI. Enjoy.
