Today I presenting, rich in protein, healthy and delicious MOONG DAL SANDESH. This recipe is very tasty & mouthwatering sweets. Moong dal is one of the most widely used lentil in Indian cuisine. MOONG lentils are highly nutritious and easy to digest. We make variety dishes with it such as dal kichdri, Moong dosha, dal soup, laddoo, halwa etc. Here I prepare different style Moong dal sweet. This sweet recipe is healthy choice during Diwali. You can try it for any festivals. Let's started.
HOW TO MAKE MOONG DAL SANDESH
INGREDIENTS
Moong dal ( yellow split garm ) - 1 cup
Milk powder - 4 tablespoons
Sugar - 2- 3 tablespoons ( according to taste )
Green cardamom powder - 1 teaspoon
Ghee - 2 tablespoons
Raisins - 1 teaspoon
Cashew nuts - 2 tablespoons ( chopped )
Yellow food colour - 1 drop ( optional )
Chocolate syrup
PROCESS
At first wash and boil Moong dal very well. Moong dal should be soft cooked.
Take a non-stick pan or normal pan, heat it. Pour ghee, when ghee is melt add boiled moong dal, milk powder,sugar and 1 drop food colour ( It is optional ,you can skip it). Mix them, stirring on low to medium flame.
Then add cardamom powder, mix it. When the mixture turn into thick then add raisins and chopped cashew nuts. Mix them and stir continuously.
If you want add khoya or mawa for extra taste.
When all ingredients are mix well and mixture become well thick, switch off the gas flame. Leave it for cool down. Your Moong mixture is ready.
When it comes in room temperature, grease your hand with ghee. Divided small size ball from the dough. Make it ball shape.
Make a small hole in the middle of the sweets. Now fill in with chocolate sauce. Ready your MOONG DAL SANDESH. Serve it. Enjoy.
